Our morning rituals & why they are so important to us

We believe that it’s they way you set up your morning, that sets up your whole day, and it’s the little things that you can implement into your morning routine to ensure your day goes a little smoother.

These are the little things we love:
Meditation - if its only 5 mins or 20mins every little bit counts. We have all practiced and got our certification for VM (Vedic Meditation) - whilst its super powerful, it is not always realistic if you are a little time poor. We love Insight Timer for their variety of different meditations depending on what mood you’re in.

Tongue Scrapping & Oil Pulling - From the Ayurvedic traditions, these techniques are super super powerful and have so many benefits for oral health. We all religiously tongue scrap upon waking, however the oil pulling has been a little harder to implement.

Warm Water w Lemon - A must, and such a beneficial practice! We start every morning with warm water, a dash of lemon juice. Occasionally we will add in Psyllium Husk to aid digestion and a dash of Himalayan Salt, for hydration throughout the day.

Gua Sha, and Ice Rolling. - Another Ayurvedic tradition. Using a Gua Sha every morning is a great way to depuff, relieve muscle tension (if you’re like me and grind in the night), boosts blood circulation and promotes lymphatic drainage. Ice rolling in the morning is also amazing to wake up the face and reduce inflammation and puffiness.

Dry Brushing & Body Oil- We love a good dry brush. I use this before showering. Its amazing to help in detoxifying your skin as-well as also increasing blood circulation and promoting lymph flow and drainage. I love to always hydrate after every shower and bath and especially love this Jojoba Oil to replenish and hydrate the skin. I love this one.
Incense - We love having a scent burning in the background . Incense is one of our favourite ways to clear old energy whilst its amazing to stimulate the mind. A very old tradition used in many cultures, Incense is our favourite way to  relax, unwind, and breath new creative energy. We love most incense but this one is one of our favourites.
Movement - Lastly, we love moving our bodies in the morning and find this is one of the most beneficial routines you can do not only for your body but for your mind. Weather it be yoga, pilates, a beach run or boxing class. Listen to your body and do what feels best. For us this is a gentle walk, pilates or yoga.
